Your home page is sacred

Here's how not to create a home page: Anyone have any idea what the heck this site is about? Perhaps if you invest some time in the site, you can infer that it's some sort of portal but you shouldn't have to! Make sure home pages have a clear message as to what your site is about. For example, if it's a company site, give us a small blurb (1 liner) about your company.
